Synopsis

Hushed exchanges amidst the female person pupil public of Shinyo Academy heart about an enigmatic supernatural entity. This entity is Boogiepop, a Shinigami who is rumored to murder people at the top of their beauty earlier their allure wanes. Few know of his true nature: a guardian who, betwixt periods of dormancy, manifests every bit the alter ego of a high schoolhouse daughter named Touka Miyashita to fend off “the enemies of the globe.” Now, a string of mysterious disappearances—presumed by the schoolhouse to live simply runaways—has caused Boogiepop to awaken. But somewhere inwards the university, a menacing brute hides, waiting for its opportune second to smash.
